The same command here responds:
--download <MODE> Set the download-install mode. Available modes: only, in-advance, in-heaps, as-needed Default: DownloadInHeaps
I edit the config file, and now:
--download <MODE> Set the download-install mode. Available modes: only, in-advance, in-heaps, as-needed Default: DownloadInAdvance
The command help reflects as default whatever you configure in its config file. Cool!
Interesting. So it appears that the default value is not actually set in the configuration file supplied with the tool, where one would expect it.
No, the reverse! The default value is not hardcoded in the binary, as is the usual custom, but is written in the configuration file supplied with the tool. Thus the default value can be modified by the admin, _and_ the modification is reported in the man page, dynamically. It is the later which I have never seen. I wonder how they have managed that trick. -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R. (from 15.2 x86_64 at Telcontar)
