Thanks Andrei for the clarification.
So the conclusion = It is not possible to configure opensuse.org e-mail address as alias in GMAIL as of July 2020 due to the change in Google terms. Google is no longer allowing us to send e-mails using non-GMAIL domain aliases from our GMAIL address.
I don't know. Half an hour ago I replied using my o.o alias via gmail, and it has not arrived to the list server. Google accepted it, apparently:

Yes, it is possible, but to my best knowledge
Hello All, I get following error = https://paste.opensuse.org/36757885 I tried changing ports, Allow less secure apps: ON in my Google account is set, tried to change connection method. I use web based version of GMAIL. I don't use any email clients. As per the reference links shared by Andrei, I guess Google has changed it's terms. And with that regard, it is no longer possible to RELAY emails over Google's SMTP server when the alias is from another domain i.e. non gmail address. Regards, Amey.
Ok, different name.
(and curio for others: I'm using port 25, it is not blocked here ;-p )
Google automatically rewrites the From line of any email you send via its SMTP server to the default Send mail as email address in your Gmail or Google Apps email account Settings.
Er... no :-?
This is the last successful post I sent using that method:
https://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-project/2020-07/msg00102.html
As you can see, the "From:" header is correct, it is my o.o alias. However, it has inside this header:
Sender: "Carlos E. R."
I think this is what happens when we do something I forget what it was to keep the "From:" intact. Sorry, my setup has several years and I have forgotten the details.
Which rather defeats the purpose of sending using different e-mail in the first place.
Of course.
I do not have a second account to test (or better I do have but they are using an external SMTP server).
And today my setup is not working, or there is a large delay somewhere. I hope to find out... perhaps a bounce message days later. I hope not to get silence, that would be the end of it: no more o.o alias for me.
