We need to start collecting ideas for Friday and Saturday evening events. Look at what we can do for lunch, maybe we can have geeko dollars.
Ok sounds good. Although I see that a lot of existing summit pages already exist in the wiki - https://en.opensuse.org/Portal:Summit . Plus a lot of committees were created last time. What do you think we should do now? We can either create new Portal for Summit13 and archive these existing pages and use only for us to reference upon, which in turn would create less confusion for the people (if any). Or we can start building upon the existing pages?
It maybe a good idea to see if we can re-shape the existing information to make it work for this year rather than starting over.
Yes, sounds good. I will get going with the information I am aware of.
Thanks for creating:
I have bookmarked this page for future work reference. By the way, do you think Trello would be a good option to getting a todo list with live changes?
I like Trello, for me it has one big disadvantage, people have to ask for permission to help. I just don't like that idea. With the wiki to do list anyone can pick a task and help, just log in and claim the job, get it done. You do not have to ask for permission to help or announce that you are going to help, Just do it.
Yes, there is a certain control that happens when people as to be able to help in that they are maybe more likely to get the task done, but I am not convinced that's the best way to go about it.

Just for the record, trello can be used publicly in order to view content, comment on content and also vote. The only "restriction" is that non-members cannot create new cards (as in new tasks) - as far as I understand that's due to the structure of trello itself. I totally see how this might be problematic for volunteering. That said, I find trello quite useful and well, if I were the org team, I would like to be able to identify the people volunteering in our conference. Plus it's super easy, as soon as someone comments on a task, to make that person member of the trello boards and problems solved.
