I use the bash builtin auto logoff. If you export the Variable "TMOUT" with a value in seconds, then the session will automaticly closed after that inactive time. You can put it in your .profile or .bashrc or ...
You must set it as root and set it to readonly, otherwise the user may reset it to 0 (no timeout). /etc/profile is a good place. TMOUT=10 readonly TMOUT -- Until later, Geoffrey
