If you configure such limits, always make sure that root is not concerned by these limits. Otherwise you have to reboot to get rid of the constraints since the limits get inherited. i'm not on a production machine, i use my home PC. As long as i remember the lilopasswd, i can get it out of most of these situations.. well, i confess, i *do* play as root. Screwed up the fs a couple of times, reinstalled and played again :-) What do you think of snort, iptables, lids , sudo on a single comp ? Either i'm mad or i'm paranoid or i don't know any of them. All of them are partly right. No other way of learning for me.
