I'm getting an error message when the script /usr/lib/secchk/security-weekly.sh runs, claiming that 'john.ini' does not exist - and it does. I tried to reinstall both john and seccheck packages, same error.
This is SuSE 9.1
I have further info: I edited the usr/lib/secchk/security-weekly.sh script, adding an '-x' to the '#!/bin/sh -x' line. The detailed error is this: + '[' -x /usr/sbin/john -a -x /usr/sbin/unshadow ']' + echo + cat '/usr/dict/*' /var/lib/john/password.lst + sort + uniq + SEC_PASSWD=/var/lib/secchk/passwd.14833 + unshadow /etc/passwd /etc/shadow + nice -n 1 john -single /var/lib/secchk/passwd.14833 + nice -n 1 john -rules -w:/var/lib/secchk/dict /var/lib/secchk/ passwd.14833 + john -show /var/lib/secchk/passwd.14833 fopen: john.ini: No such file or directory -- Cheers, Carlos Robinson
