Hmm.... that man page must exist on some other version of Unix or maybe in a different Linux Distro.
The file is referenced in "/usr/share/doc/packages/pam/html/pam-6.html".
Under SuSE Linux it looks like "man bashbuiltins" is the place to look for info on the ulimit command. At least it is under SuSE SLES 9.
In SuSE linux, I understand it is read at login time, by "pam_limits", as set up in "/etc/pam.d/common-session": session required pam_limits.so -- Cheers, Carlos Robinson
