OpenSSL should work in place of SSLeay, too.
Thanks! I was in a hurry and flat missed this. I'm not familiar with OpenSSL. Is there a major difference between OpenSSL and SSLeay that would make one preferable over the other for the purpose of porting OpenSSH?
To the best of my knowledge OpenSSL is just the successor of SSLeay, while SSLeay is not actively maintained any more. In terms of the protocol they are identical, but the user interface for the tools has moved forward. It makes sense to use OpenSSL whereever you can.
