Is it possible, that SSH and OpenSSH are not compatible?
If that's the problem, it's the versions that are incompatible. You're using ssh 1.x and openssh 2.x. I don't use openssh myself, but ssh 2.x doesn't support SSH1, so it can't connect to a ssh 1.x server, unless you first install ssh 1.2.27 on your ssh2 server. I don't know if openssh uses these options as well, but scp -t (I think) will enable scp1 compatibility on ssh 2.x. If I were you I'd take a look at the openssh homepage, and look for SSH1 and SSH2 compatibility. If openssh 2 needs SSH2, then you need to install ssh 2.x (newest is 2.3.1 I think), get it at www.ssh.com, free for personal use. hope this helps, Stefan
