Is this connected to your ipsec setup or has it always been a problem with your ISDN box (i.e. without ipsec)? You didn't tell us, but I assume you have dynamically assigned IPs. In the PPP handshake phase the interface's parameters get negotiated and the interface gets reconfigured. This is done by "downing" + changing + "upping" the interface. That's when any route "falls down" when the interface is gone. Read (plus reread and reread:) the pppd manpage and look at the ip-up and ip-down hooks (and their *.local extension in SuSE), this could be your way out. And no, this is not an appropriate message for -security. Consider not following up or doing so in a more related group or list. Basic network setup is off topic here. virtually yours 82D1 9B9C 01DC 4FB4 D7B4 61BE 3F49 4F77 72DE DA76 Gerhard Sittig true | mail -s "get gpg key" Gerhard.Sittig@gmx.net -- If you don't understand or are scared by any of the above ask your parents or an adult to help you.
