hi i installed whowatch, and while it is better than anything i've seen it still does not tell me about ftp, pop, etc. Surely the OS knows who are logged in and all i've to do is get the info from the OS . But how ?
the openbsd ftp support using utmp. maybe you can find a similar option for pop etc. Attached the secrion of the openbsd ftp manpage. HTH _SNIP_: -U Each concurrent ftp(1) session is logged to the file /var/run/utmp, making them visible to commands such as who(1). _SNAP_ -- Mit freundlichen Gruessen / best regards, Sven Michels Network Operating Center / Infrastructure ----------------------------------------- intraDAT AG Wilhelm Leuschner Strasse 7 u. 9-11 60329 Frankfurt / Germany Tel: +49 69 256 29 - 0 Fax: +49 69 256 29 - 256 http://www.intradat.com ----------------------------------------- Besuchen Sie uns vom 22.03.01-28.03.01 auf der CeBIT in Hannover, Halle 3 Stand E45 -----------------------------------------
