0x9553:0x1028:0x02BE: ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4570
Dear developers: I recently had a look at the log file /var/log/Xorg.0.log and found the following lines:
(II) RADEONHD(0): Unknown card detected: 0x9553:0x1028:0x02BE. If - and only if - your card does not work or does not work optimally please contact radeonhd@opensuse.org to help rectify this. Use the subject: 0x9553:0x1028:0x02BE: <name of board> and *please* describe the problems you are seeing in your message.
The graphic card is built in the Dell Studio 1555. I think you will also need this information, which is also quoted from the log file:
(II) RADEONHD: version 1.2.5, built from dist of git branch master, commit bc42c63d Fedora package xorg-x11-drv-radeonhd-1.2.5-2.10.20090714git.fc11
Fedora 11 is running on my laptop. Actually, I do not really /see/ any problems but I can hear them: The fan of the graphic card always runs at its maximum level, so I would guess that the graphic card does not change its performance dynamically. To solve this problem, I am now running the driver with Option "ForceLowPowerMode" "on" but this is shouldn't be the ultimate solution. Now the notebook is a bit calmer. I hope I could help you a bit developing the driver by giving you this information. Thanks a lot for your work!
