Re: [radeonhd] Sapphire X1600 PCIe board unkown

Hi all, I'm using the latest GIT version of the RadeonHD code (as of 10pm EST, tonight) and playing around a bit with rhd_conntest. Here's the output I get:
sudo utils/conntest/rhd_conntest -d 03:00.1 rhd_conntest: v1.1.0, git branch master, commit 1623f86f Unknown device: 0x1002:0x71E3 (03:00.01).
Is there anything I can provide? Here's the lspcii -vvv output:
03:00.1 Display controller: ATI Technologies Inc Unknown device 71e3 (rev 9e)
This is a secondary device. It's not the GPU and this PCI ID must not be matched.
I tried hacking the src/rhd_id.c but that didn't help. Hmmm wait a second, it works if I do:
sudo utils/conntest/rhd_conntest -d 03:00.0 rhd_conntest: v1.1.0, git branch master, commit 1623f86f + changes Checking connectors on 0x71C3, 0x1043, 0x01AC (@03:00:00): Load Detection: RHD_OUTPUT_DACA HotPlug: RHD_HPD_NONE DDC: RHD_DDC_0
This is correct.
Though it's still not showing that it's a RV535 chipset. At least
rhd_conntest doesn't show the chip name.
I'm not sure what it's showing. :] This is hooked up via the VGA port (the board has one VGA, one DVI and one S-Video output. It's Sapphire EAX1600PRO SILENT/TD/512M recently gotten from NewEgg.
So do you get output?
I'm eagerly looking forward to more and better 2d and 3d acceleration.
Is in the works.
In my basic testing, the Radeon and RadeonHD drivers both gave identical glxgears results of ~1100 FPS.
Ok, so it's working. Cheers, Egbert. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: radeonhd+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: radeonhd+help@opensuse.org

Good.

Egbert> rhd_conntest doesn't show the chip name. Ah, ok. I honestly didn't have time to read the code, I was in a rush and just running basic tests to help out where I could.

Egbert> So do you get output? Yup, it's working ok so far. Not amazingly fast (flight gear was pitiful...) for 3d, but 2d has been find.
In my basic testing, the Radeon and RadeonHD drivers both gave identical glxgears results of ~1100 FPS.
Egbert> Ok, so it's working. Yup, and I'm more than willing to test new code drops of either base. I'm minorly used to git and I'm pulling both radeon and radeonhd trees a couple of times a week. Do I need to pull any specific DRI or MESA trees? Thanks, John -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: radeonhd+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: radeonhd+help@opensuse.org
