(**) RADEONHD(0): Option "AccelMethod" "shadowfb" (**) RADEONHD(0): Option "DRI" "on" (WW) RADEONHD(0): DRI conflicts with SHADOWFB
You have to decide about acceleration.
I actually changed to shadowfb instead of exa following a thread I had seen on this mailing list somewhere, but it did not change the black screen. So I know this is not the issue, but maybe one more.

Maybe related but when I modprobe the radeon module, the resolution on screen is wacky, ie I do not see everythin, some part of the screen are outside my monitor.
Loading radeon module can not change resolution unless you use KMS. Do you?
I thought loading radeon was giving me KMS so I guess not. Do I need KMS to get current git working? -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.freedesktop.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the QA contact for the bug. _______________________________________________ xorg-team mailing list xorg-team@lists.x.org http://lists.x.org/mailman/listinfo/xorg-team -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: radeonhd+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: radeonhd+help@opensuse.org
