Hi!
2.) On a Sony Bravia 720p Panel (native resolution 1366 x 768) it basically works but cuts off a few pixels left and right (i guess its cutted down to 1280, xorg.log attached).
The monitor only reports 1280x768. Let me provide you with some especially tailored xorg.conf stuff to work around this. Add the following monitor section: Section "Monitor" Identifier "bravia" HorizSync 30-50 VertRefresh 58-62 Option "ReducedBlanking" "True" Option "NoDDC" "True" EndSection Add the following line to the "Device" section for the radeonhd driver: Option "UseConfiguredMonitor" "True" In the Screen section, reference your monitor: Monitor "bravia" Provide only the following mode in the "Display" subsection for your bitdepth: Modes "1366x768R" This will hopefully have the driver: * Ignore ddc and use only the configured monitor. * Autogenerate an exact 1366x768 mode (not 1360 or 1368) with reduced blanking. (There is no other driver out there which will do this btw). * And this mode should survive all modevalidation thanks to the provided monitor timing. If your monitor allows this mode through its VGA input, then this will work. Luc Verhaegen.
