http://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=14500 Summary: External monitor does not display native resolution Product: xorg Version: unspecified Platform: x86 (IA32) OS/Version: Linux (All) Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Driver/radeonhd AssignedTo: lverhaegen@suse.de ReportedBy: fry.kun@gmail.com QAContact: xorg-team@lists.x.org My external monitor has native resolution 1680x1050. Autodetection appears to use mode 1280x1024 79KHz/75Hz (read from monitor's menu). I've tried getting help in the #radeonhd IRC channel in December - setting the ModeLine in xorg.conf seemed to force 1680x1050 mode, but the image was still not displayed correctly (it was squished/offset horizontally). This problem does not appear with current fglrx driver, although it appeared with some older drivers. (Don't know if this information is helpful in this case..)
