Hi,
Sorry for taking so long but I finally found some time to try out the latest
version of radeonhd driver (as usual, compiled from source as per instructions
on http://www.x.org/wiki/radeonhd)
I'm still having the problem with external monitor resolution - this time the
monitor reports resolution as 1680x1050 (which is the native) but the image is
overscanned horizontally so everything looks stretched out and the sides
disappear into the ether.
Interesting to note that xorg.0.log reports every entry for "EDID (in hex)"
exactly the same:
