I have a Sapphire Radeon HD 2600 PRO AGP video card, that I am trying to use with two screens. I have two monitors plugged into the card: An Acer AL1715 monitor plugged into the DVI port (via a DVI to VGA adaptor) and an NEC MultiSync LCD 1850E plugged in to the VGA port. By default, using the radeonhd driver, the screen plugged in to the DVI port works perfectly fine. However, the other screen does not seem to be detected, as running xrandr -q results in the following output: Screen 0: minimum 320 x 200, current 1280 x 1024, maximum 1280 x 1280 DVI-I_1/digital disconnected DVI-I_1/analog connected 1280x1024+0+0 338mm x 270mm 1280x1024 60.0*+ 75.0 59.9 1024x768 75.1 70.1 60.0 800x600 72.2 75.0 60.3 56.2 640x480 75.0 72.8 60.0 720x400 70.1 TV_7PIN_DIN disconnected DVI-I_2/digital disconnected DVI-I_2/analog disconnected I have attached the xorg.conf and Xorg.0.log files. I tried adding the hot plug detection swap option to the device section of my xorg.conf file, and that resulted in the monitor plugged into the VGA port working properly, but the first monitor not being detected, as running xrandr -q results in the following output: Screen 0: minimum 320 x 200, current 1280 x 1024, maximum 1280 x 1280 DVI-I_1/digital disconnected DVI-I_1/analog disconnected TV_7PIN_DIN disconnected DVI-I_2/digital disconnected DVI-I_2/analog connected 1280x1024+0+0 359mm x 287mm 1280x1024 75.0*+ 1152x864 75.0 1024x768 84.9 75.1 70.1 60.0 832x624 74.6 800x600 84.7 72.2 75.0 60.3 56.2 640x480 84.4 75.0 72.8 66.7 60.0 720x400 70.1 I have attached the xorg.conf and Xorg.0.log files (with HPD-swap- added to the front of the filenames to distinguish them from the first two). Any ideas why this might be happening and whether it would be possible to get both monitors detected at the same time? Thank you very much, Jonathan Stafford
