Please don't push this to master ATM. The patch looks good, but it adds some new values for the debug registers. And AFAIK those registers can trigger the writeout of ANY video memory as audio packets, resulting in some static noise. This is indeed very usefull for debugging (since you can see where a problem is in the audio pipeline), but also very annoying if it happens accidentally.
