A direct mail is probably a better idea;
While the general opensuse-project@ mailinglist does include people
(like myself) who can add people to any openSUSE group, I will not do
it without coordinating with the current maintainers.
And it's easier if you speak to them as you'll be working with them :)
Bruce(mailing list) is one of our maintainers, he could add me to be a
team member, but only if I become a openSUSE group member first, and it
seems he did not have the right permission.
