If we already have the old ISO's downloaded, is there any functional reason to download and use the new ISO's from now on? (if so, what?) Can you be more specific on what was changed? i.e. Was it just the wording of a license? - BS --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-project+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-project+help@opensuse.org

None at all, there's no functional change.
Can you be more specific on what was changed? i.e. Was it just the wording of a license?
It was a missing license - so we basically changed metadata. Andreas -- Andreas Jaeger, aj@suse.de, http://www.suse.de/~aj/ SUSE LINUX Products GmbH, GF: Markus Rex, HRB 16746 (AG Nürnberg) Maxfeldstr. 5, 90409 Nürnberg, Germany GPG fingerprint = 93A3 365E CE47 B889 DF7F FED1 389A 563C C272 A126

Ah, that one. I don't think I'll bother then ;) Each time I run you on 10.2, it wants to install that font package update. Each time I think that I don't want to be annoyed with another popup (whatever the license is, it'll cover the home user), so each time I select "never install". Each time I run you on 10.2, ... (repeat above) Either I don't understand the meaning of "never install" and the red round icon with the white horizontal bar in it, or something isn't quite right. Being overly self-confident I'd say the latter. I didn't find it searching for it, but surely this couldn't be a not-yet-reported bug? #255642 Probably everyone just clicked ok on this one, though it looks like it's the tool of choice to prevent a buggy update from being installed. Another one is that Yast does not always respect "protected" status and wants to update a protected package if "he" has the same or better version number, disregarding the protected status. Worse, next time it asks again, has no memory nor manners. #246928 I had to increase my compiled packages to version 900 to be left alone... - -- Cheers, Carlos E. I've added my comments there, thanks for pointing this out, Andreas -- Andreas Jaeger, aj@suse.de, http://www.suse.de/~aj/ SUSE LINUX Products GmbH, GF: Markus Rex, HRB 16746 (AG Nürnberg) Maxfeldstr. 5, 90409 Nürnberg, Germany GPG fingerprint = 93A3 365E CE47 B889 DF7F FED1 389A 563C C272 A126

To clarify, here is what we should have said in the announcement (in short): - No functional changes. - Not even code changes. - License texts of the "agfa-fonts" package were rectified. - That's all. For those of you, who would like to take a closer look, I'v attached the gzipped diff from the original openSUSE-10.2-GM-Addon-NonOSS-BiArch.iso to the current openSUSE-10.2-GM-Addon-NonOSS-BiArch.iso -- the diffs of the other affected ISOs will look similar.
