hi all!
As you might have read on http://news.opensuse.org we've finished the strategy document. It's been voted on, our membership liked it so for now, that's it. Cool, good stuff. Next step is presumably to determine what we intend to _do_ with our strategy. Has anyone given that any thought already?
Sorry?
Doesn't one first have a GOAL in mind to start with and THEN goes about creating a STRATEGY, or a plan, on how to achieve that goal?
As far as I know, the next step (goal) is the ARM port and the establishment of an openSUSE Foundation.
Wait a second. "...and the establishment of an openSUSE Foundation". Doing a gooogly-woogly search produces this: QUOTE The openSUSE Foundation is the legal body of the openSUSE Project. UNQUOTE The meaning of the above is that this Foundation is *ALREADY* in place and does not require any "establishment". Is the statement found in googly-woogly then false and misleading? And in any case, what does an "ARM port" have anything to do with anything? I ask in ignorance and would appreciate a sensible answer to understand the response by Per to the statement by Jos. That is found in a document that is work in progress as it is noted on main page of that project: http://en.opensuse.org/Portal:Foundation <quote> Warning: All this info and the documents are DRAFTS that help the people who work together on forming the foundation to keep track of their work! They are in no way final and represent only the current state of the discussion. </quote> As a help to googlers that tend to read only article pointed by Google, I added additional note to the navigation frame of that portal, that all documents in the list are drafts. -- Regards, Rajko -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-project+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-project+help@opensuse.org

I hope it will be possible to have news at the next OSC.
