Right now, nothing.

Why would you want to? What is that going to accomplish?

So, what would the VERSION field be in this file? And again, what use would this be? What tools use this file? I think it should stay as-is as the "base" is still 11.3 (right now) and will be 11.4 in the future. Perhaps you'ld consider a low noise Tumbleweed-announce at some point, once it's bedded in and you're happy to have end users, who wish to keep the email bandwidth down and are less development oriented, so want to stay off factory?

Wouldn't the package upgrader take care of popping up a notification when there are updates in the channels ?
