[opensuse-project] Publicizing Leap 42.3
If anyone is interested in helping to publicize the release of Leap 42.3 through social media or other means, please let me know. It would be great if those involved with the different social media pages could update their info at https://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:Social_media_contacts v/r Doug -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-project+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, email: opensuse-project+owner@opensuse.org

The Hungarian twitter account is practically dead, as Hungary has only a very small number of twitter users. Those who are on twitter follow English accounts. The Hungarian facebook page has a growing number of users, so I create there regular summaries of openSUSE news and lizard posts. The latest 42.3 post is also there already :) Bye, CzP -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-project+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, email: opensuse-project+owner@opensuse.org

I'll be writing a blog post about it. Will let you know once I have a draft. Cheers, Ish Sookun -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-project+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, email: opensuse-project+owner@opensuse.org
Hi all, I'm developing the PR Release for Leap 42.3 when it happens. If anyone is interested in supporting the development of the PR, please feel free. You can see my first draft at http://etherpad.opensuse.org/p/42.3PR. I would like to get this done by July 4, so we can send it out for translations. I'm also working on the features at https://en.opensuse.org/Features_42.3, so feel free to contribute to that page if you are interested. v/r Doug On 06/07/2017 09:15 AM, ddemaio wrote:

It's somewhat concerning that even somewhere like Distrowatch doesn't even mention Leap 42.3 as an upcoming release[1]. What can we do to make sure the main Linux media outlets are covering this release? That depends. What do you consider a "main Linux media outlet"? On 06/26/2017 11:54 PM, Karl Cheng wrote:

This is part of the challenge with the rolling development model. We've put out a few articles about 42.3, but distrowatch doesn't appear to be providing coverage of it. They seem more focused on the point releases. They only list a summary from the articles we produce. We noticed this with Tumbleweed as well. Perhaps the coverage of a rolling development model doesn't fit distrowatch's coverage model. At least that is what it looks like. v/r Doug On 06/27/2017 08:54 AM, Karl Cheng wrote:
