I'd like to thank the Election Committee for going through this very difficult task of executing on an aspect of our governance that we really never had to use before. They have done an admirable job in the face of logistical and technical issues. Also, I'm pleased to see that the membership has signaled its confidence in the board. I'm hopeful we can put this mess behind us and move forward now.

And as I said back in March[1], I'm hoping Stasiek Michalski will run for the Board. He's an awesome, passionate contributor that represents the true spirit of the community well. Indeed, thank you to the election officials! As you know, there is one open board seat to fill. The plan has not changed in the last months: it is to fill that seat via an election. As Ariez hinted: Watch this space for further details. And consider stepping up (or supporting someone to step up). If you are not sure, happy to chat/mail/talk/video - or maybe ask Vinz, who joined most recently. A key reminder to all of us that I've been thinking of for a while: The above is the result of this petition/poll. Any of the 117 other interpretations of the numbers are speculative and potentially/ probably/likely/definitely incorrect. Let's not go there. Now, where _shall_ we go? In my case it'll be Πάρος for the coming week. In terms of openSUSE I am in contact with the election officials regarding the election to fill the open board seat and will (latest after my return) follow Richard's suggestion and double down my efforts and work on a number of things. In your case ... whatever calls you? Take care, Gerald PS: Yes, I made up that number 117. Maybe it's 93, maybe 17. Doesn't really matter. ;-) -- Dr. Gerald Pfeifer <gp@suse.com>, CTO @SUSE + chair @openSUSE
