Hello,
from Friday 2017-10-13 16:00 UTC till Saturday 2017-10-14 16:00 UTC the SUSE Nuremberg office will have a power outage, for scheduled maintenance on the building's electricity. Due to that, a number of services will be down. The only services that will be normally operating are: - status.opensuse.org - download.opensuse.org - static.opensuse.org - conncheck.opensuse.org
The rest of the services will be fully online on Sunday 2017-10-15. The Heroes team will try to keep you updated on the situation, and will also send a few reminders (on the opensuse-announce mailing list) before the incident.
Thanks for the understanding. On behalf of the heroes team and the SUSE-IT team
Just a reminder about this weekend's outage (sending to multiple mailing lists to reach more people, sorry for the cross-posting). Please also be aware that due to technical constraints, the above services will not be available through IPv6 during the outage. Theo

Where will be the updates posted? Link, perhaps? With so many services down, I don't know where to look. -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R. (from 42.2 x86_64 "Malachite" at Telcontar)

Just take the weekend off Carlos. Me, I'm in Salzburg. -- Per Jessen, Zürich (14.1°C) http://www.dns24.ch/ - your free DNS host, made in Switzerland. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-project+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, email: opensuse-project+owner@opensuse.org

Oh, it is a long holiday here, starting this afternoon. Tomorrow is the 12th of October, feast of "Virgen del Pilar", the patroness of Spain. Catholic traditions, you know. But also a military-civilian feast. Just the thing for a nationalistic celebration when a region wants independence. Anyway, we Spanish build /bridges/. We now build a bridge over the Friday, so we jump from this Wednesday afternoon till Monday morning. Most people leave town this afternoon for a four day holiday. Roads/trains/planes are full to capacity. Jams. Impossible to book anything by now ;-) Anyway... I was just curious about the phrase "(we will) keep you updated", if everything is down. How will that be? ;-) -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R. (from 42.2 x86_64 "Malachite" (Minas Tirith))

From the announcement:
The only services that will be normally operating are: - status.opensuse.org ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ does that answer your question? ;-)
IRC (hint: #opensuse-admin) will also be available. BTW: I spent the evening on setting up a copy of the wikis in Provo [1]. There were a few ;-) road bumps (thanks to everybody who helped to fix them!), but if everything works as planned, the wikis will be online (in read-only mode) during the power outage. Regards, Christian Boltz [1] Yeah, what an irony - I spent two years to get the wikis moved to Nuremberg, and now I (temporarily) moved them back to Provo ;-) -- A lot of us don't speak chinese - should we switch to this language to enable 1 billion people to read this list too? :) [Wolfgang Post in suse-laptop] -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-project+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, email: opensuse-project+owner@opensuse.org

Oops, thanks :-) Sometimes one can not see the obvious.

I have to confess that I've never used IRC.
