[opensuse-project] Klaus Singvogel email
Klaus Singvogel, cups mantainer... changelogs says "<at>suse.de", but doesn't works; "<at>novell.com" neither works... and the BS says "kssingvo@please-enter-an-email-address". Ok, I didn't tried the last one, but... how one contacts with him? I must say, in general, we have a problem with emails. Isn't the first time I have problems finding the contact info of someone... and I think bugzilla still doesn't recognises @suse.de emails while people uses it in changelogs. And that's a problem you face when you search the email from a username... once you know the username. openSUSE:Factory/cups meta says "mlschroe" is the mantainer, and Printing/cups says the mantainer is kssingvo... but the bugowner jsmeix (bugowner != mantainer???). Right now the BS web interface seems to be the better source for this info. But I don't think you can retrieve the same info from osc (it gives the username, no the email). -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-project+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-project+help@opensuse.org

Klaus is not working for Novell anymore.

Sorry to know. I don't know if he just left for a better job, but losing a CUPS mantainer is always a bad new. The changelog shows a lot of activity until December 2008, and we are already a version behind upstream. These changes of mantainership have a cost until the new mantainer is comfortable with it.

cer@nimrodel:~> osc bash: osc: command not found I'm afraid that functionality is not available for us plain users. I assume it is something of the buildservice, which you don't install unless you have an account on the buildservice, I suppose. How then does a plain user/reporter find those emails? - -- Cheers, Carlos E. "zypper in osc" But you need a buildservice account I think. The normal bugreporter just reports the bug and it gets assigned to the screening team who reasigns it accordingly.
