Um, you can already build SLE 12 appliances in SUSE Studio
And I would expect you to be able to build openSUSE 42 ones once, you know, we actually build it ;)
Sure I can - but anyone using the appliance, and just wants to add a single package, requires to clone and rebuild the appliance, instead of just issue a 'zypper in <package>'. I'm actually building on Studio to give less experienced users a smooth start, and not to make things more complicated...but that is in fact what happens with SLE-builds at the moment. A repo that contains just the packages that are available on Studio would be highly appreaciated.
