Hello everyone! So, the first report will be a bit content-less, as there is not much to report. (It's due to uni.) But hey, it's a start! This is / will be my first GSoC. And I'm really happy that I managed to get into the openSUSE team. My project goes by the name "Cool Live Flash". Well, the base idea is from my mentor, I will "just" help to make this idea take a form. And now for the progress. Since the beginning, I've been spamming Michal with all sorts of questions, since I had no idea how this all works. He also had a 'homework' for candidates. It was a great warmup, and by solving it, I was able to take a peek at how openSUSE is built. Don't get me wrong, I'm a Linux enthuasist - to a healthy degree - and I did/do use openSUSE, but I never dissected it's liveCD before. It was fun, and thought me a couple of things. Since then, he gave me a couple of tasks to start with, like dissecting other live systems, check out filesystems, and such. Again, the list and the tasks are not forgotten, I really take GSoC seriously. But you have to prioritize. You are forced to. So that list is not done yet (not all of it), but not for long! Once I get busy, I will post about my progress on my blog. (Will include the link in my next report for posts.) See you next week!
