If you want to help us, install and use MATE. Report bugs so we can fix them. Here is our portal https://en.opensuse.org/Portal:MATE
if you have any link to mate guys (I don't have time to make it myself right now), I noticed that trying to install kde, gnome, xfce and mate did nearly break my 13.2 install.
I used to install kde and gnome for demo purpose, and suspected gnome and mate couldn't cohabitate :-) (not a big deal)
Like what? If there are actual problems installing multiple DEs then file bugs, unless there are explicitly specified conflicts between packages they should be installable and work as expected. The only issue I am aware of is DBus-activation if there are multiple implementations of a DBus interface installed in parallel it will arbitraily use one of them, but thats a broken design of DBus that is difficult to address for downstream distributions. -- Guido Berhoerster -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-project+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, email: opensuse-project+owner@opensuse.org
