I think you are dead right: I have so many cracks and flaws in my character that only the virtues and restraint you have blessed this topic with will be able purify my villainy. Also: if you are correct that written words are the only rampart against my lies and omissions, why not writing the words yourself after we've met under the hospices of the Board? Why not publish them yourself here, so that everyone can see your account of the truth? Or you think the Board will succumb to my lies and omissions too, and that you cannot trust the Board's mediation? I am just trying to probe the surface of your doubts, so that I know what I can safely assume or not. Because yes, calling for the Board's mediation is what I will do. Is there any reason in particular why you always tip-toe away from any live meetings with other volunteers?
I remember it was also impossible to get you to participate in a live discussion during the Affair of the Plasma patch. Do you not share my optimism about the potential of live discussions to mitigate misunderstandings and keep emotions at bay? :/
You have demonstrated a... (to try and please Gerald I'll attempt to put this politely) ...a... method of "creatively" interpreting peoples responses and being very.. "selective" as to what you respond to.
Therefore in any live meeting with you, I currently cannot trust that you wouldn't continue to demonstrate these traits.
Therefore I (IMHO rightly) fear that any discussion with you in those venues would result in you announcing things I didn't agree to, quoting words I didn't say, or ommitting things of import that were discussed.
Textual conversations, especially those on our list, are black and white, plain text, independantly archived and able to be quoted so there is no question as to who said what, or who didn't respond to specific direct questions.
Therefore venues like these are the only ones I'm comfortable having discussions with you over.
Hope this clears this up.
