Hi, The last few days were spent coding the webview into Atril. I had some concerns about not being able to use the Atril frontend and having to adjust in a lot of frontend code, so I had a chat with my mentor Stefano and we reached to the conclusion that even though we would be compromising on the look and feel of Atril, it was best if I just continued with the original plan wherein the Webkit window will replace the Atril view in the Atril container. There were also some compatibility issues with the new webkit2 API, which heavily depends on GTK3, while Atril and all MATE software for that matter is based primarily off GTK2. So now I'm coding off webkit-1.0 which though depracated is still supported. Currently I'm writing callbacks to control the behaviour of GTK widgets in the reader(and hoping that I don't run into some thread problem!). That's all for this week.I Hope I have good news to deliver next week :) ,after which I can start focusing on all the additional features I plan on adding.
