There are hundreds, if not thousands of packages in Tumbleweed that do not work properly on Transactional systems.
You should never assume just because it builds for Tumbleweed it will be supported on MicroOS
I never assumed they would all work, I’ve tested and experimented if some worked. Those that worked I’ve written down how to make them work. Those that don’t work I have not written down. But for example the PIA self installer script does not work..
As the official MicroOS docs state , it’s designed for container and edge use cases.
I know the designed use. I’m trying to get it to a higher level, as I feel immutable OS is the future and MicroOS is the best option for that in my eyes.
And we have a GNOME desktop in beta.
Everything else is unsupported. Period.
And that’s fine, experiment, have fun, it’s openSUSE after all - but don’t put any of that anywhere near any documentation that remotely attests to be “official”
To do so is unfair on the developers who develop MicroOS and who know exactly what they are willing to support on the OS they are developing.
So this is the real issue. You assume that because I wrote something down you have to do work. While I already know you don’t do things you don’t want to, so what is your issue here?
