If you want to help us, install and use MATE. Report bugs so we can fix them. Here is our portal https://en.opensuse.org/Portal:MATE
if you have any link to mate guys (I don't have time to make it myself right now), I noticed that trying to install kde, gnome, xfce and mate did nearly break my 13.2 install.
I used to install kde and gnome for demo purpose, and suspected gnome and mate couldn't cohabitate :-) (not a big deal)
Hello jdd, As far as I know, it's gtk2 vs gtk3. Maybe a good idea is to install KDE-GNOME together and xfce-MATE together. Just create another partition and different users (home). Another idea is to have lvm setup. By the way, I include MATE mailing list and Benjamin to check this mail.
