Hi, O/n 04/08/2021 16.37, Adrien Glauser wro/te:
1) What is/will be relationship to https://doc.opensuse.org/? Perhaps, I haven't heard anything from the folks in charge of it.
I guess I am a person who's in charge of it (to a degree anyway).
From the user's perspective it would be good to have everything hosted there.
Soo... I think adding the content currently on GH Pages to DOO is not an issue. But I think there's still a bit of an organizational question in terms of how the new content will relate to/coexist with the existing content.
3) How will contribution be possible? By pull request using git? Contrary to doc.opensuse.org and to the wikis, there will be -- at least while I am alive -- maintainers. So you get the best of both worlds (updated, peer-reviewed).
For the record, DOO _is_ maintained by the SUSE doc team. The level of maintenance is probably not ideal, nevertheless the bit about there being no maintenance is just wrong. We also do enable contributions to existing openSUSE (Leap) docs via https://github.com/suse/doc-sle. I can see how from an openSUSE community perspective, it may be a bit weird that that is the same repo that is also used for the SLES/SLED/SLE Micro docs. Given the similarity between the projects/products, it does make sense, however. We have also recently started a project trying to go in a similar direction as this project, but in the context of the SLE documentation, i.e. article/tutorial-style docs. I guess there might turn out to be some topical overlap. hth Stefan. -- SUSE Software Solutions Germany GmbH: Maxfeldstraße 5 / 90409 Nürnberg/ Germany. HRB 36809, Amtsgericht Nürnberg.
