That attitude only makes me worry even more. You should not consider reasonable opposition and feedback as "backpressure nonsense" and try to steer away from it, what sort of attitude is that? There are clearly people here who have grave concerns about this proposed migration, a migration that they had never even heard of until a few days back.
1. you take a look at https://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:Documentation_migration.
I beg your pardon, but that is a load of nonsense. Q: "What is the rationale behind the migration?" A: "The migration has been justified in details here", "here" being your initial post to the project list. Your initial post presents _no_ rationale whatsoever. You only asked for help. The page above was created three days ago, _after_ you had already asked for help. Second, your initial request for help was way back in January 2021, to doc.lists : https://lists.opensuse.org/archives/list/doc@lists.opensuse.org/thread/VMM6B... I cannot find it, but I presume you explained the rationale in an earlier posting, back in 2020. One issue is - doc.lists is primarily official documentation, not for the wikis. I have cross checked the list of subscribers with the list of wiki authors, and there is virtually no overlap.
2. you share all the *understanding questions* you still have and the folks from the docs try to address them until there is none left (and I am happy to do my best to address them here).
Who are these "folks from the docs" ? I thought you said they were not subscribed here.
3. we proceed to *objections*, but since objections are essentially about a team effort, you'll have to share them in a context more hospitable to a debate,
I find this context perfectly suited.
where pieces of the context are tightly fitted against each other, so that everyone can appreciate the bigger picture
Has anyone actually presented the bigger picture, ever?
without too much cognitive overload or surrounding noise. That is either the page linked above (section "Discussion"), or the docs ML (because it's more focussed than this one), or our GitHub repository.
Objection - you do not get to tell us where to discuss this project, especially after you have neglected to inform us about it (until three days back). I suggest this ML is perfectly well suited for this discussion, the members are largely committed community members of many years.
It's a simple deal: you take the deal, you get answers, you don't take the deal, you don't get answers. You can take it, or you can leave it. That's as much arrogance as I am capable of.
IOW, no shortage on arrogance. You also continue to top post, something that violates openSUSE netiquette and is generally frowned upon. -- Per Jessen, Zürich (21.5°C) Member, openSUSE Heroes
