mail clients and their usage are a lot like editors. I learned word star and the key-strokes remain, so I use editors that for the most part clone ws key-strokes.
Old-timers used mail for personal contact and news for bbs lists, etc.
With slrn and mutt, I see little difference with functionality except for having mail locally and news remote. But both can be the other way...
