People can object to having a page their use or maintain migrated; if they do so, please get in touch with me privately or through GitHub so that I can: 1. verify that they indeed are maintainers of the said page; and 2. negotiate with them; and 3. should (2) not bear fruits, organize a record of untouchable pages. Also if anyone was not clear about this already: - the revamped docs is already using the same license as the wikis - the license does not in any way require to collect individual consents from authors of the wikis, for they have already given their consent as part the license applicable to the wikis; the license merely requires to name five of the principal authors of the contents of the Document (i.e. wikis) - if Richard is interested in helping us in a constructive way, he is kindly invited to send us or send me (off thread) the name of five of the principal authors of the contents of the wikis he thinks should be referenced in the revamped docs. Usually I would simply use the top five contributors from https://en.opensuse.org/Special:Contributions but this tool apparently does not work as of this email. So sticking to the topic.
Did I miss a meeting, thread, or other means of communication where a significant proportion of my fellow wiki contributors were consulted before it was decided to deprecate the current platform and to migrate their content to another platform?
Was the needs of those continual contributors to the wiki considered? Carlos’ and Pers’ posts on this thread would suggest not, but I am certainly open to the idea we all missed something.
