Hello, I am new to Suse. Know enough about Visual C/C++. programming under Windws. Is there also an integrated environment for Suse Linux? If so, how to start up? (cannot find it in the documentation) What is its name? (if necessary where to buy?) or do I have to write with KWrite and compile with make? Thanks, Henk Jansen jzhenk@telefonica.net

Hello,

KDevelop is very good. And then there is Anjuta as well. Both are available in the standard SuSE distribution. -Vale

You can use KDevelop. It is a IDE for C/C++ It is in the SuSE Package. You can get Information and a manual from www.kdevelop.org -- Stefan Lang EMail: langstefan@gmx.at

There is one, but you are going to learn more about programming on Linux if you choose a good editor (I recommend NEdit) and work with source files and make files.
