Suse 10.1 beta4 PPC does not boot on IBM pSeries 610 (7028)
Hello, I had already this week a posting about: 10.1 beta? tested in an IBM pSeries virtual partition I continued testing on a different machine IBM pSeries 610 (7028) native without any virtualization options, again I receive an error after booting: *** An error occurred during the installation. Has anybody tested Suse 10 beta4 on a IBM PPC machine? Helmut

The required IDE driver for p610, p615 and p630 was disabled. It should work for you if you export all CDs via http and do a network install. boot the cd with 'install install=http://1.2.3.4/exportdir/CD1' on the server, the layout should be like that: /somedir/exportdir/CD1 /somedir/exportdir/CD2 /somedir/exportdir/CD3 /somedir/exportdir/CD4 /somedir/exportdir/CD5
