Copy the kernel manually inserting CD 1 and proceeding as follows: mount /cdrom dd if=/cdrom/suse/images/zImage.prep of=/dev/sda1 I am a little confused, if I use bootx is this true, and how do I get into the command mode as I am in the graphical installer when it says reboot. Also, if I am using the oldworld kernel is the above instruction still correct.

This one refers to a Motorola PReP box, these are usually old PPC machines and have nothing in common with a PowerMac. Gruss Olaf -- $ man clone BUGS Main feature not yet implemented...
