Hello all. I am trying to install 7.0 on the following system: umax c500 running a 603e at 200 mhz.(but with a L2 cache slot g3 card running at 400 mhz) I have 144 mb ram, and I have added a 2 usb/2 firewire pci card. when I try to boot off of the cd the installer seems to work fine until it gets to the scsi cd-rom drive(matshita cd-rom cr 506 with driver version 5.3.1) then the last three lines are scsi:0:mesh, scsi:1 host, mesh:target 3 synchronous at 5.0 mb/s after that last line the system hangs. I have waited as long as 20 minutes and nothing happens. I have tried to boot from a hfs partition but the same result occurs.
