-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 SLES 8 runs fine on a G3(B&W). If I get some spare G4 hardware over here I will give it a try. Right now the only problem I have on the G3 is that there are some missing ppc (32 bit) binaries on the SuSE update server (syslogd and postgresql-server). The patch discriptions are there, which means it trys to do the update, but there are no binaries, so the update fails. I reported this to SuSE at the end of last week, and I think they are working on it. This problem shouldn't be unique to the G3s. It should be failing on 32bit IBM hardware as well. - --Bill On Wednesday 30 July 2003 08:03 am, Roberto Dohnert wrote:
SuSE doesnt support the Apple PowerMacs anymore except with SuSE Linux 7.3 PowerPC edition. If he got SLES set up on a PowerMac G4 can you tell him to write up a howto, because I for one would like to be able to get that done, I have 2 G4s sitting here collecting dust.

A few months ago, Olaf Hering helped Jim Airola install SLES 8.0 on a PowerMac G4. I was wondering if SLES will install on the G5. Any SuSE support? Thanks; Ron
