I've been trying to install SuSe Linux 10 on my new 15" powerbook G4, 1.67Ghz, to no efford. I partitioned my hard drive and booted from CD1, but when I try to install it says "Could not find the SUSE Linux Installation CD". Then when I go on with the manual setup, it tries to mount the CD-ROM but stops with the message "Make sure that CD number 1 is in your drive".
Can you try the 10.1 beta1 iso, either from opensuse.org, or the fixed one from ftp://ftp.suse.com/pub/projects/powerpc/ ? The IDE driver in 2.6.13 may not know about the very recent hardware. -- short story of a lazy sysadmin: alias appserv=wotan
