I compiled xine 0.9.8 and xine-gui from source without any problems. Finding the right d4d DeCss plugin was not easy but I found it in the end. Just do a google search for 'd4d ppc.rpm' and it should come up. It would be good if SuSE provided new rpms of xine as it is very useable now and the version in SuSE 7.3 is quite old. If you manage to use the /dev/rdvd with xine, let me know how you did it. I get errors. (this will make sense once you try it!) cheers Joss --
