The ide-scsi module re-maps the CD from /dev/hdX to /dev/srY, but /dev/cdrom
still points to the (old) IDE device. You must remove /dev/cdrom and make a
new symlink to the correct /dev/srY device, i.e "ln -s /dev/cdrom /dev/sr1"
