Hello,
BandiPat írta:
I'll keep an eye on the progress of that and in
the meantime locate
myself a PPC to play with SuSE.
It's worth waiting two more days for SUSE Linux 10.1 beta5. Beta3 still
had a lot of bugs, which were fixed for beta4. But beta4 has a new
package manager back end, and was a 5 hours fight to install on Pegasos.
Beta5 will hopefully see a feature full and stable package manager and
bring us back to normal life...
In theory, new Genesi machines will arrive as fallows:
- EFIKA at the end of next month. This is mainly for embedded
applications, a SOC solution. If you, or anyone else has an interesting
development project for it, you can apply for a free development machine
at
http://projects.ppczone.org/projects.php
- HDB and OSW (the dual dual core G5) will be server/workstation
products for processing intensive applications, around end of spring.
Bye,
CzP
Thanks,
Pat
