I installed till with some failures under Linux
SuSE V 7.3 PPC editopm on a RISC 6000 7248-100.
It is running quite find.
Afterwards I inserted an IDE-HDD 80 GB. This
disk is correct recognized from 80 GB size.
But on system console I always get the message:
hda: interrupt lost
What can I do for solving this problem.
Install a newer kernel. You probably want a newer distribution
too. SuSE has stopped producing security updates for SuSE 7.x.
I would recommend Debian or YellowDog.
Check the 7248 HOWTO at http://tldp.org/HOWTO/IBM7248-HOWTO/
What's about a Red Hat distribution, I have Enterprise V 3.0.
Is this working ?
I search for such an information in internet, but didn't find
it. Where can I find, which distribution is good for a model
of IBM/HP/... ?
