MachineOfTheMonth: Using your CD-RW drive as a UDF filesystem packet writer Part 2
Maybe you already noticed the story at Linux Today, but I'd like to know if you can really remove files. If yes, does it work efficiently ? "I tried to do too much too soon and realized that the packet writing process is kind of slow and inefficient, even when trying to delete stuff. I ended up ruining that disc too when I turned off my computer to stop a deletion process that would have taken an hour." And what about the media ? I just ordered 10 Acer to play with. "Unfortunately, I had some problems getting additional cd-rw discs to format. I tried about 5 more of them and none of them worked." http://linuxtoday.com/news_story.php3?ltsn=2001-08-18-005-20-OS-HW-SM http://machineofthemonth.org/articles/a77/index.html -- 0@pervalidus.{net, {dyndns.}org} Tel: 55-21-2717-2399 (Niteri-RJ BR)
