[opensuse-packaging] Where to submit python3 packages?
I've built some python packages needed for my work with python3 https://build.opensuse.org/project/monitor?project=home%3AHighwayStar%3Abran... There are numpy, scipy, IPython and some dependencies built with python3 . Should I submit it to devel:languages:python? What current police about python3 packages? Should it be build with links packages as described http://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:Packaging_Python#Building_Python2_And_Python... Also i found project devel:languages:python3 in buildservice, but it has no packages. What does it for? -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+owner@opensuse.org

Also i found project devel:languages:python3 in buildservice, but it has no packages. What does it for? There's the plan to start fresh there with only Python3 packages that uses automatic dependencies (still in home:saschpe:pyrpm).

I thought neither numpy or scipy worked with 3.x[0]. Did this change? Did you test them? Both scipy and numpy works well with python 3, we use it in develompent for solar physics data processing tasks. http://docs.scipy.org/doc/scipy-0.10.0/reference/release.0.10.0.html
This release requires Python 2.4-2.7 or 3.1- and NumPy 1.5 or greater.
http://sourceforge.net/projects/numpy/files/NumPy/1.6.0/
supports Python 2.4 - 2.7 and 3.1 - 3.2
IPython hve python3 support in upstream since 0.12 version http://ipython.org/
IPython supports Python 2.6 to 2.7 and 3.1 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+owner@opensuse.org
The only thing I missed now with python3 is matplotlib. It will have python3 support in upstream next version 1.2, but current git version seems to work well with python3 already -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+owner@opensuse.org

That's great old news :D I guess they have to update their faq... -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+owner@opensuse.org
Also there is list of python software and current python3 status in Fedora wiki http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Python3 There are a lot of usefull things already support python3. I guess 12.2 is good point to add more python3 to openSUSE -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+owner@opensuse.org
Are there any plans for automatic dependencies for python3 packages in openSUSE 12.2? -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+owner@opensuse.org
